For my latest birthday cake, I wanted to do a Mary Engelbreit inspired number. I LOVED the outcome.

Sneaky Emma

Here's Emma doing what our kids seem to do best; going behind our backs to get whatever they want. She saw some unattended frosting laying around and she wasn't going to let only being 30" get in her way. When she'd had enough she went on her way.

Dear Tooth Fairy

Interpretation:

Turvy

This is my first attempt at the topsy turvy type cake. I have learned a few things that, if not obvious to you, I will not point out. Oh well, that's why you try, right?

Topsy

I have a birthday cake that I'm going to do next week and i was going to do a topsy turvy style, which I have never done. So tonight I experimented and did a topsy to see if I could pull it off.

The execution is a bit lumpy, but I think I got the idea right.

I probably could have brushed off the excess sugar for the picture too.

So next week we bump up the sophistication and add the turvy.

Today I am being featured on the Frugal Mommy of 2 Girls blog. The girl who does it does a great job of featuring products from Wilton to etsy stores. She has lots of followers and her whole thing is that she gives away one of every product featured and gets one for herself. Not a bad idea! Wii

Stevie loves to play the wii and has spent many a cold winter day with the wii. Today, Emma decided to see what all the hubub was about and she LOVED it!!!

She really got into Mariocart.

Then she had to come over and show me how much she enjoyed it.
