Riley's Day

Riley is my lucky child who gets to have a parade and fireworks on, or the day before, her birthday.

This year, it was ON her birthday. So we began celebrating 7 years of Riley with a parade.

Then there was a family lunch, a movie, a dinner....and then the presents!

I don't know how it gets so messy opening presents. There really weren't that many of them.

Of course Emma had to take the backpack for a test run.

The cake.

I had to put this picture in because Emma had such a cute pose.

Payday

Earlier this week, Emma was playing on the floor and suddenly stood up and said, "I ate a penny". I had told her earlier in the day to get some coins out of her mouth, so I knew it was well within the realm of possiblilty that she was telling the truth.

She was.

The x-ray taken the next morning at the doctor's office confirmed that she had indeed swallowed a penny, or some other coin. Thankfully it wasn't lodged anywhere harmful and should pass without any trouble.

Finally, our kids are paying out!
