So Riley turned 5. Wow! I can't believe that my second oldest is already 5.
We had a killer party on Saturday where we had about 10 little girls running around our house. We learned a few things. First, 1.5 hours would have been long enough for the party instead of the 2 hours alotted. Second, bringing together a gaggle of girls from different parts of a 5-year-olds life can get complicated. They aren't interested in making new friends, so you end up with one or two feeling left out and a lot of drama. Third, those darn pinatas are really hard to break. Steve ended up having to break it himself.

So if you know me at all, you know I made her cake. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner and all she would say was salad. Well that sounded boring so I told her I would make her a salad cake instead. Voila!
For the party we decided to do a water park theme. We had a mini pool, a crazy sprinkler, and only the coolest blow up water slide money could buy at walmart. Needless to say, it was the hit of the party and even Steve tried it out when all the kids were gone.
Well, that's about it. Riley loved her big day and is looking forward to kindergarten!
